Body Contouring Procedures
Liposuction & Liposculpture: These procedures provide contouring by physically disrupting and removing fat in areas of the trunk, neck, arms and legs. Small incisions are made through which the procedure is performed and recovery time is generally short, compared with other procedures.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty): Whether due to weight loss or after pregnancy, excess skin and "stretch marks" of the lower abdomen are a common complaint. Removing the excess skin and fat leaves a low horizontal scar across the abdomen. This is usually hidden below the "bikini line." This procedure is frequently combined with liposuction of the back or flanks to get ideal results.
Arm Lift: Extra skin under the arms can be excised with or without liposuction to provide additional contouring of the upper extremity.
Thigh Lift: Sagging, redundant skin of the inner thighs is typically removed leaving either a vertical or oblique scar. Liposuction around the thighs and knees helps optimize results.
Belt Lipectomy / Lower Body Lift: When a thigh lift and/or tummy tuck are not enough to correct skin redundancy of the lower body, a belt lipectomy may help. A circumferential "belt" of skin and fat is removed, elevating the buttocks, removing some of the lower body laxity while correcting the extra skin of the lower abdomen.
Mommy Makeover: The months and years after pregnancy leave a woman's body with many changes. A "mommy makeover" includes several elements to help rejuvenate her body to its prenatal condition. This may include a breast lift, tummy tuck and body contouring procedures.
